This is the name of a small
smiling
winged creature
whose heart explodes out of his ears everyday.
Hes been following our subject around since the beginning of time
but decided to stay close at hand
once he hit the shore.
Little did oursubject know
the demon was born into the world
in the same moment and
if the same orifice as he.
They used to play as children.
Slowly,
this creature became invisible and the boy became obsessed
with seeking him out,
leading him deep into the
labrynthine study of magic.
But the boy became distracted by the pull of
his budding
pelvic structure and the demon grew jealous
and impatient.
They were one
but if the boy forgot about his
demon
they would both live half lives,
half of themselves, segrated,
incapableof any real life
incapable of any sort of magic that made them
who they were.
Now the demon haunts the boy
who has grown into a
fine young man,
whose only awareness of his former companion is
a chaotic energy that plagues
his interactions with men,
growing stronger as
a pair wades deeper.
